Trending Players Dominating the Stats Leaderboards

Rankings and stats offer a snapshot of your performance as a player. They aren't just about competing with others but rather about challenging yourself and positioning yourself for greatness.
Benefits of Stats
Stats can fluctuate from week to week, but consistently ranking near the top indicates that you are performing above average and that your hard work is paying off. They can also serve as a source of motivation. For instance, if you're recognized as a top blocker, don't let up or become complacent. Look for ways to enhance your blocking skills through new techniques. Additionally, stats can help you prepare for upcoming opponents. If your team is set to face the top middle blocker, for example, you should focus on improving your line shots or tooling the block in practice. Similarly, if you're up against the state's top libero, practice hitting away from her position to increase your chances of success. The following players are currently dominating the leaderboards. While rankings and stats may change rapidly, these players have made impressive contributions early in the season.
Players Hitting .300 or higher
Ayanna is off to a great start this season, hitting nearly .500. The Pitt grad is coming off a stellar junior season, having won several honors, including the 2023 Nevada Gatorade Player of the Year. She recently tallied 1,000 career kills, achieving this milestone early in her junior year. There's no doubt she is poised for another outstanding year with Bishop Gorman and has a strong shot at winning the state championship again. The six-rotation player has hit a couple of huge milestones early this season, recently reaching both 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs. You don't achieve these numbers by luck; she is a smart and highly skilled player. She capitalizes every time she gets a chance to attack or sets up a play from the back row with a dime pass to the setter. She earns kills from both the front and back rows and maintains a great attitude. Currently uncommitted, she should definitely be on several college radars. Her name is floating around the top of multiple categories, including blocks, which is typically a lower number. Not in Stoddard's case; she is excelling on offense just as much as on defense, with 145 digs and 32 blocks to her name. Her contributions have been significant, helping #5 ranked, Centennial, get off to an excellent start this season. She has racked up 221 kills, 355 digs (#1 in state), and 58 aces so far this season. She is proving to be a top contender for 2A Player of the Year. The three-sport athlete is averaging 4.7 kills/set, 7.6 digs/set, and 1.2 aces/set. This is very impressive and demonstrates her endurance, power, and drive to play at the college level. When you play middle at 5'6", you have to have something that sets you apart. For her, it's absolutely her reading skills (paired with her vertical). She excels at reading the hitter's arm swing and quickly maneuvering to block their intended angle or line. Not to mention, she is also strong offensively in the middle.
