Nebraska Juniors is bringing several new 2026s into its gym for the upcoming season, and Peterson is one of those big headliners for 17 Black. This dynamic athlete has posted back-to-back seasons of over 100 kills for Lincoln Northeast, but Peterson's impact reaches far beyond her offense. She also doubles as a backcourt setter and dished out over four assists per set while distributing to her fellow attackers. We're eager to see her dual role flourish with a retooled club lineup this spring.

Suljuzovic is building on a strong tradition of middle-blocker excellence at Club Legacy. She was an indispensable part of Club Legacy's top 16s squad this year, dominating the net in various ways. Suljuzovic's explosive approach allows her to get off the floor quickly and kill balls in front of the setter. Her range doesn't waver behind the setter, making her an ideal M1 in a 5-1 system. The upcoming club season will be another important test for many of Club Legacy's best 2026 athletes.

Omaha Skutt Catholic wielded a wealth of setter talent this fall. Stevens was an important piece of that equation and helped the SkyHawks run a 6-2 offense in certain situations. She even came off the bench in the Class B championship match to provide stability and key side-outs. Stevens carries the club banner for Premier Nebraska and will add to this group's extraordinary setter depth in the 17s age group.

Griess has seen some of club volleyball's biggest stages. She has made back-to-back trips to Nationals with South Central NE, using the Show Me Qualifier as a bid-earning venue. This Sutton standout made huge leaps as a junior and logged 5.2 digs per set for the always-stingy Mustang defense. Griess has distinguished herself as one of Nebraska's best small-town defenders and will not relinquish that title in 2025.

We expected Gernstein to enter the spotlight with Grand Island this fall, and that's exactly what happened. She had an impactful 2024 club season with Nebraska Juniors while terminating a high clip in the middle. When a void opened up in the Grand Island lineup, Gernstein stepped in and dropped a triple-digit kill total for the Islanders. Her steady presence lifted GISH to its first state semifinal appearance since 2007, so there's soaring optimism for Gernstein's upcoming club season with Nebraska Juniors 17 Black.

Watters found her stride with Norfolk Catholic this fall. She tallied over 200 kills in her junior campaign en route to a postseason return for the Knights. This high-flying pin hitter has been on our radar since the dawn of her prep career, and her volume scoring has persisted ever since. A big opportunity awaits as Watters joins Nebraska Elite's top 17s squad and will sharpen her skills against some of the region's best.

Don't forget about the championship-winning standouts at [program_tooltip program_id='428728' first='River' last='City Jrs']. This club's 16 Navy team made waves with an AAU National championship this summer, and Frandson was right in the middle of the triumph. She showcased her ball-control range as a consistent setter and an eager floor defender in the right-back area. This relentless effort helped lift Frandson's team to the Orlando mountaintop, setting a high bar for the 2025 campaign.
