The Perfect Combination: Emerging Middles in WI/MN

However, I think one of the hardest positions to fill (and one of the most important) on a team is the middle. Finding the perfect combination of height, speed, and agility is hard to come by. Standing at 6'1", this girl can move. She is fast and has strong lateral movements while reading the ball quickly and it shows. She led West Salem with an astounding 97 blocks on the high school season. She has a heavy arm and was a constant go-to for her Xtreme team this past club season willing them to several wins with her explosive presence. She works around the block and can find ways to score just about every time the ball is sent her way. During school volleyball this past year, Blumers came up with some big blocks in key moments to aid her team in their impressive 24-5 record. Hansen does everything you want from a middle, especially when it comes to blocking. She put up a huge roadblock for hitters on the other side of the net. Holmen made its way to state this year and Linse led the way in blocking for her team and also contributed significantly on the offensive end with with 173 kills. While Linse is only 5'8", she doesn't play like it. She is quick and smart out on the court.
