About Avery

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I work hard and play hard! Most of my year is busy with sports. I play Volleyball for Conway High School July - October, Volleyball for Conway Juniors 16 National Team November - June. and I also play softball for Conway High School November - May. I spend my days at school, working out, at a team practice or private lessons. In my downtime I like to hunt and bake cookies for friends and teachers.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in my first year of FFA at Conway High School. I love animals and I am interested in perusing a potential career in Veterinary Medicine. I am also very active at my local church (New Life Church) I love spending time with my youth group and friends. I also volunteer in the children's ministry on weekends I am able to.

Roussel is one of the strongest attackers in Arkansas and runs a lot of different plays out of the middle. She has a strong snap on the ball which can knock defenders off their feet. She puts up a huge block and does a very good job at closing the block with the pins. She also has a tough serve to defend.
