Ella Orahood Ella Orahood 5'5" | S/DS/L Conway | 2027 State AR , Olivia Gardner and Braylee Lightfoot have done an exceptional job of spreading the ball around for the Lady Cats this season. All three are averaging over four assists per set, giving Conway the flexibility to change setters based on the matchup.

Orahood is the senior leader of the group and the one Coach Crow leans on the most. She’ll be key in keeping Makylah Davis Makylah Davis 6'2" | MB/RS Little Rock Central | 2028 State AR and the Central defense off balance. If she can find the right matchups and keep Conway’s many offensive weapons involved, the Lady Cats should come out on top.

Season Stats: 67 sets | 23 aces | 286 assists | 4.3 aps | 87 digs

Ella showed great poise and accuracy in both matches I watched. She directed the Conway attack and did a great job of getting the ball to weapons like Paisley Porter Paisley Porter 6'0" | OH/RS Conway | 2028 State AR , Emma Booy Emma Booy 5'10" | OH/RS Conway | 2030 State AR , and Addy Swindle Addy Swindle 5'7" | OH Conway | 2027 State AR as the Lady Cats swept Fayetteville and split with Mount St. Mary’s.

What stood out was how well Orahood spread the ball around. She didn’t allow the defense to get comfortable or key on one hitter, and she changed the tempo when needed. With all the offensive options Conway has, the setter’s job is going to be keeping everyone involved. Ella showed at the jamboree that she is more than capable of doing just that.
