Teams will start their season with smaller tournaments and scrimmages, but by the end of January we will have plenty of matches to take a look at in regards to who is making a statement in this age group. Let's take a look at some 2026s who are ready for impact this 2025 club season.

[player_tooltip player_id='323929' first='Kate' last='Heatherly'] is a quietly loud presence on the court. She made a big impact playing her role as a defensive specialist where she had some clutch moments in big matches for 1st Alliance 16 Gold in 2024 when they were the runner up finishers in 16 Open. She knows how to use her platform and control her angles to get that first touch to the setter. She is well trained, she has great fundamentals and knows how to get it done.

So physical. [player_tooltip player_id='260963' first='Peyton' last='Strout'] is one to watch out of the middle. She plays with a high motor and is always anticipating that next move to go for the block, get out in transition, and wants the ball every time. Defensively, she does a great job with her hand placement, getting her shoulders above the net and squared back into the court. Offensively, she knows how to make herself an option where she is really good off one foot and attacking behind the setter. She forces the other side of the net to always know where she is because if they are sleeping on the middle she will make them pay.

She is slated to play with [program_tooltip program_id='431567' first='Adversity' last=''] this upcoming club season where she will get plenty of looks playing a high level schedule. Her all around skill set is a huge advantage to her game where she will be one to watch most likely setting. She has quick feet, is efficient and can find a way to create offensive opportunities for her squad.

[player_tooltip player_id='389012' first='Channing' last='Johnson'] is an all around athlete who can do it all, including lead her high school team to a state championship. Johnson is also a key player for Denver's ranked high school girls basketball team as well. With a big growth spurt from her sophomore to junior year, she's now a 5'10 setter who has plenty of length and physicality at the net. She is accustomed to running a fast tempo offense and is a major defensive presence at the net. She had nearly 150 kills and over 60 blocks to go with over 1100 assists just in her junior season. This is a can't miss type of athlete where her best volleyball is still ahead of her. She will play for Adrenaline 17 Marty out of Cedar Rapids this club season.

At 6'1, she has the length and size to go toe to toe with other top middle blockers and is someone who is a next level player. She is an athletic, left handed setter who puts so much pressure on the other side of the net. She is always looking to push the tempo to her middles and can put the ball on the money to her pins. With her ability to jump and swing with her left hand, she is still a dish first setter. She will play for [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] 17 Navy this upcoming club season and is someone that I would want to know if I was looking for a 2026 setter.

She has been a left handed middle where she can run some different routes and tempos that allow her some one on one matches to terminate.
