About Avery

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a quick player, I run many variations of routes, I am always trying to trick my opposing teams defense. I am good at reading the court and I always put in 100% of my effort into everything I do. I work hard to be a good teammate by putting in effort, hustling, and being encouraging on and off the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality when on the court is to do everything with 100% effort and hustle. I know that if I put 100% in everything I do then I can never be disappointed with my performance, since I did everything I could. My personality is bubbly, energetic, and I am always trying to crack a joke to bring up the mood.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am not involved in any clubs through my school that are not sports related, but I have received Honor Rolls for maintaining good grades.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have became a leader throughout my volleyball seasons, I am always trying to help out in any way that I can, I am always trying to encourage my teammates through the good and bad. I have learned to take in criticism, I know that whoever is giving me the criticism is just trying to help me play to my full potential. I have also became a better communicator, I am very good at talking to others.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have been fortunate enough to not have any significant challenges throughout my volleyball career.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that has a good sports program, and an excellent coaching staff that is willing to work with their players. As well as looking for a team that has high chemistry and works well together. College wise, I am looking for a school with a high employment rate in my major, as well as having a good student body that respects one-another.
