Skyler attacks left side for Chantilly. When the other left side is [player_tooltip player_id='181297' first='Lameen' last='Mambu'] you get overlooked. Skyler certainly contributed to the offense. She ranked third on the team in kills. A little more experience will allow those kills to increase as the hitting errors decrease. Skylar also needs to improve on her defensive game as well as her serve receive to become a more complete player.

Playing for Virginia Juniors could help her overall game. At the Prep Dig 250 Expo this year she showed off her athleticism bringing a nice jump during the hitting line warmups. Working on enhancing her transition to take into account the randomization of the game is her next step. Anticipation and reaction are critical in this game, especially as you advance to the higher levels.

101. [player_tooltip player_id='720806' first='Jackie' last='Klugh'] (Howard/Columbia) - She stood out as one of the top offensive performers for a Howard team that went undefeated until a loss in the semi-finals ended their season. Similar to Skyler, Jackie finished fourth on her team in kills. That number will increase with more consistency finding the court. More playing time and experience will resolve that. The good news is she will be playing for Columbia this club season. Her high school setter [player_tooltip player_id='698761' first='Imagine' last='Peltier'] also sets for them. Columbia now ranks first in the Chesapeake Region after winning their last two tournaments. There next event will be the Charm City Challenge in Baltimore.

At 5'7" Benisa is a bit undersized for an outside. She probably does not look at that as a handicap but more as a challenge. Her performance on the court appears to vouch for that. She led her team in kills and finished third in blocks.

This resulted in a Class 6 second team all state selection. The only two other sophomores to make the team were [player_tooltip player_id='265167' first='Laila' last='Chadwick'] and [player_tooltip player_id='357402' first='Coco' last='Lewis']. Those two rank in the top five for our class of 2027.

Benisa suits up for 757 Black which will play in the Mid Atlantic Power League this weekend. Hope to see her there.

Raylin plays for Metro North. Prep Dig identified her as one of the Diamonds uncovered at the Chesapeake Regionals last year. She performed well as a left side and played six rotations for Metro North.

At 5'8" she is a tad undersized for a front row player when it comes to blocking, especially when it involves the taller right sides. She does bring an impressive approach jump of 9'8" to the floor so that helps. Her six rotation play allows for defensive specialist opportunities. Definitely someone you want on the court because of the positive energy she brings.

Metro North will play next at the Charm City Challenge in Baltimore.

144. [player_tooltip player_id='671315' first='Sienna' last='Carr'] (Ocean Lakes/757) - Because Ocean Lakes runs a 5/1 Sienna hit right side as well as played six rotations. Her offensive spark led the team to a fifth place finish in the Virginia Volleyball showcase. She also appears to have a pretty good beach game as well. Her name does not appear on any 757 roster as of yet so perhaps her focus stays with the sand. At 5'9" she is a bit undersized, especially for a right side. However, for beach play that height is fine as a defender.

149. [player_tooltip player_id='742632' first='McKenna' last='Mullin'] (Spring Hills/[program_tooltip program_id='494409' first='Blue' last='Ridge']) - McKenna plays for Spring Hills in West Virginia. While she did not get a lot of playing time her 2.3 kills per set ranked third on the team. Like most sophomores in high school more experience will lessen the hitting errors increasing the opportunity for playing time. At 5'10" McKenna hits left side for [program_tooltip program_id='494409' first='Blue' last='Ridge']. Getting that experience will enhance her game. [program_tooltip program_id='494409' first='Blue' last='Ridge'] will play this weekend in the Mid Atlantic Power League.

150. [player_tooltip player_id='742633' first='Olivia' last='Cypcar'] (Loudoun Valley/Virginia Elite Volleyball) - Olivia took some nice swings at the Maryland Jrs Open in a second place finish by Virginia Elite. She stands 5'10 with an approach jump that reaches 9'7". Though she does not rank that high in the class of 2027 Olivia will be someone to keep an eye on. Success breeds more playing time. With more playing time comes greater exposure. Look for her at the Charm City Challenge in Baltimore.
