Porter returns with varsity experience and will be counted on to help the inexperienced varsity players figure things out at that level after the graduation of a huge senior class from last season. Porter does a good job running the offense and her versatility could turn into a valuable asset for the Lions this fall. Porter takes nice out of system swings and uses her off (left) hand to surprise opponents. Porter also does a good job tooling blocks.

Porter (pictured) split time at setter this past fall for the Lions helping them diversify their attack. Porter consistently puts the hitters in position to put balls down. She is also a sound digger. Porter lines her arms up with balls and hard-hit ones bounce off her arms like ping pong balls successfully to the other setter. Porter does a good job staying on her feet to make good passes. Porter had 355 assists and 203 digs for the Lions, helping them drive back to the 16th Region Tournament this past fall.
