Alexandra has been a game-changer this season for Madtown. She sets and plays on the right side. What sets her apart is her court vision and ability to move the ball away from opposing blockers. She keeps the tempo quick and all of her hitters involved. Alexandra also has a very aggressive serve and is very quick on defense.

Alex Faust has been a standout for McFarland High School out of the Madison area and she’s already made a name for herself with only two years of varsity play. She was a major key for Madtown 161 Select where her athleticism really stands out. She can get her hands to the ball, finds a way for her attackers to get a big swing, and can even take it herself to scores points. A definitely catalyst for a team who is nearing 30 wins on the season.

Alexandra Faust Alexandra Faust 5'7" | S/RS McFarland | 2028 State WI plays with an assertive presence that you can feel from the court. Watching her live, you see a setter who trusts her hands and isn’t afraid to challenge a defense. Her ball location was consistent — especially on her back sets — putting her right sides in clean one-on-one opportunities.

What separated Alexandra was her ability to run offense in system and out of system. On broken plays, she didn’t panic. She adjusted her footwork, re-established her platform, and delivered high-percentage balls that kept rallies alive. She does a strong job disguising her intentions, holding her shoulders until the last second before releasing to the pin or quick option. There is a major presence from the sophomore class of McFarland and one of their key leaders is Alex Faust who is one of their setters. She leads the team in assists and digs. McFarland has a five seed in their rugged half of the section, but could be a team to have an upset or two with their challenging schedule from this past season.

Alexandra ran a 5-1 for Madtown at the Champions Cup when I saw them play, and she did a fantastic job commanding the court. She kept all of her hitters involved and worked to place the ball accurately for her hitters. Alexandra adapted well on the court to out-of-system situations and was always on the move to make a great play.
