Like this game we love, we'll move pretty quickly from position to position. In today's edition of the positional breakdowns, we talk about the "bigs" on each of five squads that have made massive differences this club season. These five athletes each have something unique that sets them apart from others in the class.

Size alone will get you attention. But skill too? Jordyn's innate ability to be up and ready to hit on nearly every pass to the setter already sets her apart from the rest of the field of middles here in central Indiana. Jordyn is projected to the M2 position because of her solid two-footed approach, but her defense is going to carry her far. Broad-shouldered, strong and smart, Miss Blair makes opposing hitters think twice before going angle. I've said it once, and I'll say it again; anyone can be big and lumbering. But to add athleticism, skill and volleyball smarts? Jordyn has the whole package, and is only going to get better from here.

We've already seen Paityn at our showcase earlier last fall, so we knew what we were getting when putting her here in the rankings. Since the previous update, however, Paityn has been an anchor in the middle and has shown how speed, strength and quickness will carry you far early in her career. I like the lightness her feet bring when attacking, her long strides in defending from pin to pin and her quickness in transition to allow her to terminate from behind and in front of the setter. Already part of the 4A state champion program, Miss Lauck has a long time to go to cement her story---but so far, it's a nice start.

Able to play a little of everything in the front row, Elle is a long and lean attacker that maxes out her attack touch with a high swing and a solid attack. On defense, she's currently a primary-passing outside for PHP's 16s team, and her length allows her to cover a lot of ground when served. On offense, she has all of the shots in the book, but is definitely edging towards being a pin attacker at the next level. There's so much to Miss Boser's future, so I'll keep it simple; Elle is playing up a year on one of the best 16s teams in Indiana as a primary-passing outside and doing it all well. It's only a matter of time before she gains strength and skill and REALLY starts dominating in this graduating class.

With her mom as a former player and playing on Circle's top 15s team, Finley is a springy and quick middle that can project to either middle position because of her attack. Although a bit narrow on her block, Finley is still quite serviceable on defense, and turns defense into offense quickly. For her age and size, she's already ahead of the class average in multiple parts of her game, including maturity. Winning has become second nature for Miss Smith and 15 Purple, so watching her develop as a player will be a priority for this column moving forward.

Springy and quick, Brynn is a better M2 than an M1 at the moment. Her two-footed approach gets her in the air quickly, and is ready to hit regularly. Length isn't an issue with Brynn, and her attack touch is already higher than most in this class. I'm a little reserved on her blocking potential, as it is a little narrow compared to others in her class and share her size. However, with the level of training and improvement she's shown in the first half of the club season, Brynn's future is bright and should be able to put it all together sooner rather than later.
