About Jordyn
Expert Analysis

The biggest free-agent pickup that this squad received prior to this club season is none other than the biggest, most productive middle in this class. Already adding to a solid core of attackers and defenders, Jordyn’s size is a problem for opponents on both fronts. Yes, she stands out because of that size, yet her ability to transition quickly and defend from pin to pin with ease will mark her as one of the must-have recruits in this class.

Big, physical and intimidating, Jordyn has been a breath of fresh air for a ‘28 class that is severely lacking in size in the middle. She’s a solid M2 plug-and-play option for this class, and carries size, broad shoulders and pace behind the ball for one of the best 16s teams in the Midwest. Her arrival on this bronze-medal winning team from a year ago transforms the roster into a juggernaut, as her club team has yet to drop a match this club season.

Big, physical and a difference maker in the middle, Jordyn has been the biggest (literally) improvement to the bronze-medal winning squad at 15 Open from GJNC’s a year ago. Taking up a ton of space on the block, she’s tough to get past. On the attack, her long arms and solid transition help her take advantage of her height on a consistent basis. Frankly, you can’t teach 6’4”, but you CAN teach 6’4” to be the major Division I prospect that Jordyn has developed into already. Now, it’s a matter of refinement, which is scary considering how good she already is.

Part of a middle pair at Westfield that is already next-level, Jordyn has burst onto the scene since she moved here from Tennessee not too long ago. Her size, strength and overall intimidating presence makes for a tough overall package in the middle that SCREAMS Division I. With all of the appearances of an M2 for the next level, Jordyn’s presence on Circle’s 16-1 is a huge upgrade at the middle position for a team that finished 3rd at 15 Open last summer at GJNC’s.

Jordyn’s arrival from Tennessee over a year ago was eye-opening; big and physical, she can cover a ton of ground along the net on defense while additionally being a strong presence on offense by going over or powering through undisciplined blocks. Now playing on one of the best teams in the state, she’s showing out as the top middle in her class, and not just for her size. She’s a future collegiate M2 in the making, and is just now getting the spotlight she’s earned.

Exploding on to the scene ever since she moved here from Tennessee last year, Jordyn’s size alone can be intimidating. Her hard work in transition is only exceeded by her heavy arm swing, and she punishes smaller and less disciplined blockers regularly. Even when the set isn’t perfect, her size and jumping ability allow her to hang out for a while and turn imperfect into a kill. Her transfer over from Munciana last spring will immediately make Circle’s 16-1 a better program just by her presence. Most of that team finished 3rd in 15 open this past summer. In other words—-watch out.

Yep, you read that right, Blair is making the move to Circle City to join the team that just finished top 3 in the country, which will allow her to compete against the top competition in the nation. Jordyn has been earning accolades all season including being selected for the USAV National Training and Development Program (NTDP), and now being selected as a 15s all-American. I am most excited to see how Jordyn takes on a bigger role at Westfield, alongside another MB standout and Louisville commit,

. Blair is a hardworking, dedicated athlete who certainly has the makings and physicality of a high level D1 recruit, and I expect her to continue making headlines throughout the high school and club seasons.

Size alone will get you attention. But skill too? Jordyn’s innate ability to be up and ready to hit on nearly every pass to the setter already sets her apart from the rest of the field of middles here in central Indiana. Jordyn is projected to the M2 position because of her solid two-footed approach, but her defense is going to carry her far. Broad-shouldered, strong and smart, Miss Blair makes opposing hitters think twice before going angle. I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again; anyone can be big and lumbering. But to add athleticism, skill and volleyball smarts? Jordyn has the whole package, and is only going to get better from here.

in front of her), it certainly doesn’t mean this young lady isn’t destined for great things. Standing at 6’3″ and already strong for her age, Blair is built to be a D1 middle, and after being invited to the USA NTDP this winter, it looks like people are starting to take notice. I am most looking forward to seeing Jordyn’s blocking abilities this club season and to see if she adds a new spark to this 15 Open team that really has a ton of potential.

Big and physical, Jordyn is a recent transfer from Tennessee. Her size alone is intimidating, but her balance, athletic acuity and strength complete the package that make her more than capable of holding her own on Munciana’s top 15s squad. I haven’t seen too much of her attacking behind the setter, so we’ll stick to M2 projections for now. With Munciana training and a ton of talent around her, we should see this young lady’s stock rise quickly this coming club season.
