Springy and quick, Brynn is a better M2 than an M1 at the moment. Her two-footed approach gets her in the air quickly, and is ready to hit regularly. Length isn’t an issue with Brynn, and her attack touch is already higher than most in this class. I’m a little reserved on her blocking potential, as it is a little narrow compared to others in her class and share her size. However, with the level of training and improvement she’s shown in the first half of the club season, Brynn’s future is bright and should be able to put it all together sooner rather than later.

More of an M2 because of her two-footed approach to the position, Brynn is a nice-sized middle for the next level. Playing in one of the most competitive high school programs in the state, Brynn’s ability to terminate against high-level competition sets her apart from other middles in this class. I’d like to see a little more lateral movement from her when she defends at the net, as that might be a training point for her going forward. For now, however, her size can’t be taught, and she already has a strong foundation of offensive play.

Probably the most refined middle of the ones listed today, Brynn is well ahead of her class in both volleyball IQ and athleticism. I’d like to see a bit more attacking from her behind the setter, but for now she’s a formidable M2 with aspirations and opportunities to get better in a hurry. Her length and size can’t be taught, however, as she looks to add to a long line of middles at Fishers that always seem to be D1-ready.

Baker has all the makings of a solid middle – she is 6’0″ tall as a freshman and has a long reach. Considering she plays at perennially good Fishers HS, paired with The Academy VBC during club season, she should develop well and quickly over the next couple of years. Right now, she already has the ability to bounce balls, which she put on display during warmups. As she works on her spacing with the setter and vision of the opposing block, look for her to become a very efficient hitter at the net. Brynn has all the pieces in place to be a solid M2 in both her attacking and blocking, and I look forward to seeing both of those things come together over this club season.
