About Penelope

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Sneaky, smart, fun to play against, competitive.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I believe that mistakes don’t define you and that if you put in the work and the effort, you will see your results.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in my volleyball club, Northern Lights Volleyball. I do that by helping out with concessions, reffing games, and playing the best I can every game.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership and being a leader on my team, my position is made for that as well.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The most significant challenge I’ve had is getting there before the ball, not being running at the same speed as the ball.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that has a good pre-med program that I can learn from and teach my potential in the sport I play.

She establishes her middles early, which opens the floor, and then starts working the edges with confidence. What stands out is how quickly she processes the block. She’s not guessing, she’s reading and adjusting in real time. When the pass breaks down, she still finds a way to deliver a hittable ball that keeps the play alive. There’s a steadiness to how she plays that keeps her team in rhythm. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

Why I’m excited to watch: She controls the match without forcing it, and that kind of command shows up more the longer you watch her.
