She stays available on every play, which forces blockers to honor her even when she’s not getting the ball. Defensively, Garman is a natural disruptor—reading the hitter’s shoulder and closing with a strong press over the net. Garman is a pin hitter with a heavy arm swing. She is versatile in that she will attack from basically every spot in the front row. She will take big swings from both the right and left side and even out of the middle. Opposing teams’ blockers need to be wary of Garman. She does a solid job using the block to her advantage, scoring many points off of blocker’s hands. Essentially, if you send the ball her way, she is going to find a way to score.
