A group of younger athletes didn't just show up, they showed out. Competing shoulder-to-shoulder with D1 talent, six standout players proved they belong in that same conversation. With poise, athleticism, and confidence, they matched the tempo and rose to the moment.   College coaches, take note, these six athletes are ready for the big stage.    What [player_tooltip player_id='454603' first='Asia' last='Udo-Ema'] unlocked inside this training lab was something I haven't seen from her yet. That alone is exciting because it confirms what many have suspected, her best volleyball is still ahead of her. Some athletes hold their own in a high-stakes setting. Asia didn't just keep pace, she elevated. Surrounded by current Division I talent, she rose to the level of competition with composure, hunger, and a visible shift in her game.   Reflecting on the experience, Asia shared, “It was an amazing experience to play with D1 athletes today. I got to learn a lot from them and overall just made great friends that I hope to see again. The competitive spirit they bring to the court was awesome, and I love playing in that type of environment.”   Asia's ability to adapt and thrive in that kind of pressure-filled setting speaks volumes. Across multiple events and tournaments, her game remains sharp, reliable, and remarkably mature for an eighth grader. With a strong beach background, Baylee brings versatility to the court, capable of playing any position, even stepping in as a setter when needed. Her all-around skill set and court awareness set her apart.   “Practicing volleyball with Division I players pushed my game to the next level by constantly challenging me to rise to their intensity and skill,” Baylee shared. “I loved playing alongside the fast-paced play and seeing their advanced techniques that I can incorporate into my game. These players have high expectations, which pushed me to sharpen my game and push past my comfort zone. This helped me build both physical and mental toughness. Being in that competitive environment inspired me to elevate my game and learn what it takes to perform at the next level. I loved it.”   Baylee's drive, versatility, and steady performance in elite spaces make her a name to remember, and there's no doubt top-tier college coaches are already watching her closely. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247     Saige Williams doesn't shy away from the gritty parts of the game. She moves, she digs, and she plays with everything she's got. There's a spark in her game that's hard to miss, she competes with intensity, but also with joy. Her love for volleyball shows in every point, every hustle play, and every quick recovery. Saige brings personality, energy, and a readiness for the next level that's impossible to overlook.   “It's my favorite thing ever,” Saige shared. “Every time I play against or with D1 athletes, my game IQ grows, and I also grow as an athlete myself.”   With a growing toolbox and the mindset to match, Saige is making it clear, she's not just keeping up, she's ready to level up. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247     [player_tooltip player_id='517654' first='Olivia' last='Karvelis'] works hard and competes with heart. She's quick to get low, relentless in pursuit of every ball, and always playing with a smile. Watching her face light up while competing alongside collegiate athletes was a reminder of how much she loves the game. Her passion is unmistakable, and her work ethic is just as strong.   “Training with Division I college athletes this weekend was an amazing experience and one of the best training sessions I've ever had,” Olivia shared. “As the libero for Coast 14-1, I've played in some big matches this year, third at Triple Crown NIT and winning 14 Open at Red Rock Rave, but this camp pushed me in a new way. The speed, strength, intensity, and focus the college players bring is next level. It made me play sharper, think quicker, and trust myself more. I also noticed how they stay confident and keep talking and smiling, even after mistakes. That mindset really stuck with me. I'm looking forward to taking this back to my team. I will be heading into Junior Nationals in Dallas feeling more prepared and confident than ever, and I can also visualize myself playing D1 in the future.”   Olivia plays with the mindset and maturity of someone well beyond her age, and her performance this weekend proves she's on a clear path toward collegiate success. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247     Taimane Ainuʻu is a high-level setter who can confidently run the court. She plays with focus, determination, and a calm presence that anchors her team. Her ability to read the game and deliver the ball exactly where her hitters need it sets her apart. She's extremely coachable and consistently finds ways to elevate those around her.   “Playing with D1 athletes pushed me to be more competitive and be aggressive because everyone in there wants to win and get better,” Taimane shared.   She stepped into the gym with intent and delivered. From her consistent tempo to her on-point zone delivery, Taimane showed she's ready to be a reliable and impactful piece at the next level. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247     [player_tooltip player_id='267161' first='Sadie' last='Ross'] checks every box on and off the court. Her resume speaks for itself, varsity starter at Jesuit, key contributor for NPJ 17-1, two-time 6A State Champion, Championship Player of the Match, 6A First Team All-State, UA Next Series participant, and AVCA Phenom. Her offensive and defensive fundamentals are solid, and she's clearly ready for the next step in her volleyball journey.   “I had the absolute best time training with Coach Kiy and a fantastic group of D1 athletes this past weekend,” Sadie shared. “The biggest takeaway I got was how much energy is created and fostered in an environment where everyone is pushing each other to play the best we can, at the highest level possible. This opportunity gave me great feedback on things I can do to succeed at a higher level and reminded me of the things I do well, but how to raise the bar of those things as well. Going back to my own practices, I'll be bringing more energy and a higher level of play to continue to foster that competitive environment in my club and school teams.
