The Freshman Showcase in Dallas did not disappoint as there were some amazing young volleyball players giving their all in front of our scouts and court coaches. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of watching them perform because it was their first opportunity for me to get them on our radar for State Ranking purposes. We had 100 players registered and every court had some amazing plays happening. Let's meet a few of the players who earned a Top Performer award from their awesome individual play.

Miss Rhodes is currently an unranked prospect in the 2029 class according to our Texas State Rankings but that is only because we have not released them yet. She plays volleyball at Allen High School and also for the Dallas Skyline volleyball club. From the moment she checked in at registration, I had court coaches mentioning how excited they were to watch her in action. Her reputation as a shut down blocker and powerful attacker on the right side preceded her. As I made my way over to her court, I could easily see what all of the fuss was about. Soleil is a flat out stud! If I were a college coach, I would start watching her immediately because this young lady deserves looks already. She has a high motor and super competitive nature about her that will not go unnoticed by any spectator. Her physicality at the net will be a problem for any one who will try to battle against her for the foreseeable future. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at our showcase.

Miss Johnson is currently an unranked prospect in the 2029 class according to our Texas State Rankings but that is only because we have not released them yet. She plays volleyball at Crowley High School and also for the Dallas Skyline volleyball club. When we talk about leadership as coaches, we mainly want someone who will get people to follow them. This usually happens with either leading by example or leading vocally. A lot of younger players have trouble with the vocal aspect because they are afraid of what people may think of them. Abrielle is a natural leader who leads with both her play and her voice. There are very few players who can hold my attention with their voice after twenty five years of coaching, but I think she is one of the best to do it. She had me smiling from ear to ear with her celebrations of others and court talk to all of her teammates whether she was on the court or off of it. This young lady will go far in life and not just sports due to her awesome personality and leadership style. If you go watch her this year, be very careful because you may not want to leave her court as she will draw you in with her fun personality. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at our showcase.

Miss Elsey is currently an unranked prospect in the 2029 class according to our Texas State Rankings but that is only because we have not released them yet. She plays volleyball at Argyle High School and also for the Dallas Skyline volleyball club. When you first see Alexis on the court, her height and power cannot go unnoticed, but when you stay and watch her perform, you will see a very skilled athlete who can truly do it all on the court. She is a solid six-rotation left side attacker who can affect the game in the front row and the back row in all aspects of the game. Although her skill set is elite, that is not the only thing that intrigued me about her game. Every hitter gets blocked from time to time or makes some mistakes. It is just part of the game. What matters is what you do after a negative point in scored really separates the good from the great and I saw her be great all day long. If her squad lost a point or if she got blocked, she is the type of player to not show any negativity in her body language and just come back for the next point as if she has full belief that she is going to win. Her confidence exudes from every part of her play and she can back it up for sure with her play. If you do not know her name by now, just give it some time, you will very soon. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at our showcase.
