That's not easy to do in a program that produces top players annually. The lefty is tall with long arms and impressive leaping ability. All of that helps her generate power in her swing and defend at the net. Groeteke should be able to add power once involved in a college strength and conditioning program. She seems like a no-brainer for schools on the next level needing an opposite pin. The two-time all-state selection delivered 584 assists, 359 kills, 374 digs and 22.0 blocks as a junior in 2024. That production helped Mid-Prairie reach the state tournament last season. She focused on the back row during the club campaign with Adrenaline, and that's her likely home on the next level. Setter also could be her future. Either way, Evans can help a lot of programs on the next level. She's started 119 of 120 matches, including all 81 the last two campaigns. Wedgbury begins her senior year with 1,182 digs, according the statistics on Bound. I've watched her play throughout that time with Cedar Falls and Six Pack. Wedgbury is a fundamentally sound back-row performer. She has a great feel for the position and instincts that help her succeed. Wedgbury reads the ball well and can move quick laterally. She communicates well and improves as the match goes on. She's a unique volleyball player in that setting and hitting outside are two of her main strengths. Scheckel recorded 458 assists and 364 kills as a junior in 2024. She also posted 394 digs and 22.0 blocks. Her versatility results from her aforementioned athleticism and excellent feel for the sport. After working into the rotation as a freshman in 2022, she has started all 75 matches the Jaguars have played. Lei-Butters embarks on her final prep campaign with 879 digs to her name. Having scouted her at Centennial and with Plex, consistency and steadiness are the traits that stand out for Lei-Butters. She limits her mistakes, and when one is made, she's successful at letting it go and moving on to the next play. Lei-Butters is technically sound and quick with excellent reaction time. Coming off of an excellent club season with Select, Schmidt could see her stock jump up quickly with more opportunities coming her way this fall. Her statistics should spike from the 67 kills (.218) recorded a year ago. Schmidt is an explosive athlete with impressive leaping ability and hang time. She's continued adding power to her attack, and there's room for adding more in a college strength and conditioning program.
