About Elise

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am energetic setter who likes to run a fast offense. I'm quick to the ball and work hard to put my hitters in 1 on 1 situations. I believe defense is the key to winning games, so I focus on the first touch then a quick release for the second ball. I have been a 5-1 setter for most of my volleyball career and continue to improve my skills as a front row setter.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am focused, intense, and hardworking, On the court I am high energy. I pride myself on my leadership skills. Currently as a freshman setter running a 5-1 on varsity, I am not intimidated by upper classmen or older players. I am a strong communicator and have confidence in my ability to run the offense.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

After 8 years at St. Matthew Catholic school, I was awarded the Fr. Paul Shikany Christian Leadership Award at my 8th grade graduation.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I love to serve my community, school and church. I was a server and sacristan for our church. Help with younger volleyball teams and camps. My club director, Mike Lingenfelter, acknowledges me for my treatment and mentorship of younger players in the gym during positional training.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would like to pursue beach and indoor volleyball. So ideally looking for a school with both
