Another day, another week of volleyball. Some things have changed for our 4A list, yet more of our focus will be on the athletes that have yet to find a home for their respective fall entrance. Here are our top five teams in 4A this week, along with a number of uncommitted athletes from all four graduating classes that should be turning heads this fall.

Welcome to the chat, Marauders! Owning a win over volleyball blue-blood Cathedral, plus winning 11 of your first 12 matches, gets you a ton of attention around here. With a balanced attack and a team-first attitude among their squad, there's a ton to like on this roster. A trio of uncommitted senior attackers lead this squad, all with aspirations on playing at the next level. [player_tooltip player_id='807328' first='Sierra' last='Holverson'] is a springy pin attacker that can double as a DS in a pinch. [player_tooltip player_id='261025' first='Jaycee' last='Jones'] is a high-flying, long and lean outside hitter that is tough to defend because of her size and jumping ability. [player_tooltip player_id='821959' first='Alivia' last='Morgan'] is a steady M2 that has length for days and can terminate quickly with her fast transition game.

The Bulldogs continue to wreak havoc on northwestern Indiana, and for good reason. With a ton of talent up and down this roster, there's a pair that I'm focusing on to be the real catalysts of this offensive machine. [player_tooltip player_id='546291' first='Cailin' last='Duncan'] is an experienced and control-based setter that is smooth in her delivery and tough from behind the baseline. A nice surprise for this 6-2 offense is freshman setter [player_tooltip player_id='546276' first='Elisabetta' last='Bedoy']. Quick and athletic, she's a nice complement to Cailin in that her speed and consistency help this offense continue to be efficient and hard to defend.

A tough loss to defending 4A champ Carroll is a solid learning moment for these Royals. With seven seniors and a ton of college-ready talent, HSE will make their adjustments and be fine for the late run in October that they always have. My focus will be on the kids that have yet to find a home. [player_tooltip player_id='513305' first='Mia' last='Zabel'] is a tough, quick and jumpy pin attacker that can get kills from anywhere and excels on the right side especially. It's hard to believe I'm typing this statement, but [player_tooltip player_id='286983' first='Maye' last='McConnell'] is an exceptional libero that has yet to commit anywhere. Just recently breaking the single match digs record at HSE, she's a solid, consistent defender who controls the backcourt like a coach on the floor.

It's hard to keep undefeated teams away from the top of the rankings, so here is where the Shamrocks reside. With sweeps over Yorktown, Zionsville and #4 Crown Point, the ‘Rocks have shown up and shown out this fall. [player_tooltip player_id='575131' first='Jordyn' last='Blair'] immediately comes to mind as an uncommitted college-ready player on this roster. At 6'4”, she's an intimidating force in the middle, and a nice complement to Louisville-bound [player_tooltip player_id='443848' first='Carsyn' last='Comer']. Her size and heavy arm swing have and will cause problems for opponents for years to come. The 6-2 setters on this squad have a lot of decisions to make, and seem to be making the correct ones so far this fall. [player_tooltip player_id='484140' first='Emily' last='Blevins'] and [player_tooltip player_id='443857' first='Kenna' last='Robinson'] can fit into a large school 6-2 as well as a small school 5-1 situation equally well.

The Chargers have had one heck of a year thus far. Hosting Indiana's first-ever outdoor game, they dispatched rival Homestead. Hitting over .400 against #3 HSE over the weekend is eye-opening, as the Royals' defense and size are usually strong points in their play. Finally, not dropping a set yet?!? Who does that? Well, it's these Chargers, and this week looks to be no different. Cala Heffner is the anchor and the first contact that coaches covet, and is easily our top choice in the class of ‘28. Another player that shocks me about being available is middle [player_tooltip player_id='228833' first='Addi' last='Shippy']. Long, lean, springy and active on both offense and defense, she's yet to find a home after hitting the college camp scene down south over the summer. Strength and quickness in the middle are her calling cards, and it's possible she'd be hoisting another championship trophy in November.
