Who Moved Up in California’s 2027 Class?

Every rankings release is more than a list. It is a reflection of development, discovery, and growth across one of the most competitive volleyball states in the country. The PrepDig California team evaluates players with one goal in mind: identifying those whose skills, athleticism, and mentality project to success at the collegiate level.

When players move up or down, it is rarely a result of decline. Most often it happens because others have made significant gains or new athletes have emerged who raise the overall standard. Our process focuses on athletic upside, position-specific skill, volleyball IQ, and intangible traits such as effort, communication, and body language. These are the qualities that help coaches predict who will perform in college systems.

Transparency remains at the core of our rankings. Each update reflects the ongoing work of scouts who evaluate athletes through live events, film, and consistent feedback from coaches. Rankings are not permanent placements but indicators of how an athlete's current potential stacks up against others in her class.
