Initial 2028 Rankings: Spots 16-20 Evaluations

Gilliland has great size and athleticism and made the most of it this year for the Purples. Gilliland showed in the state tournament she can put balls down off sound blockers and on solid defensive specialists. She has tough crosses and can go off blockers on go routes. Gilliland also takes solid swings from the back row, setting her apart from many hitters. She has athletic genes and her dedication shows on the court. Bakken has some sound jump sets. Bakken mixes in short and long sets. Phipps pounds balls to different parts of the court from the middle and the pins. Phipps surprises opponents using her off (left) hand to tap balls to open parts of the front court. She sends balls to different parts of the court. She has an outstanding approach to the net and a good wrist snap.
