Tour of Texas Stop 1 Preview Vol 5

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the biggest early season tourneys is upon us this weekend.&nbsp; The Tour of Texas will bring the best teams in the state of Texas and six other states will also be represented in the competition.&nbsp; Almost every one of these teams in the invitational divisions will most certainly earn a coveted bid to USA Volleyball Junior Nationals later on this summer.&nbsp; We will be front and center this weekend to cover the event in person and will have some amazing stories on both individuals and teams to report back on next week.&nbsp; Here are some interesting things to look out for this weekend.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 15 Invitational division is stacked with premier teams and players.&nbsp; The top seed is Dallas Skyline 15 Royal Ryan which has some stellar studs across its entire roster.&nbsp; Star libero [player_tooltip player_id='534076' first='Brynli' last='Burgess'] is very well known by us as we have seen her in our summer showcase this year.&nbsp; We saw just how magical she is with the ball rebounding from her platform.&nbsp; This team will be in system for sure if anyone tries to test her out from the service line.&nbsp; The high-flying [player_tooltip player_id='529055' first='Skye' last='Lincoln'] also attended our event and she wowed everyone with her incredible vertical and command of the ball from the front row.&nbsp; She touches well above ten feet high and it will be a problem for anyone who tries to match up with her.&nbsp; The six-foot one right side and superstar lefty [player_tooltip player_id='773835' first='Soleil' last='Rhodes'] will be a highly sought after recruit after this season is said and done.&nbsp; She will score on anyone from the opposite position and be a match up nightmare for opposing left sides.&nbsp; That is only a few of the top players from this awesome squad.&nbsp; I will be covering them closely so stay tuned for some special insight after the tournament is done.&nbsp; We will report on the rest of their players soon.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tstreet 15 Chandler will be ready to battle all of the Texas talent that comes its way.&nbsp; They will get some big time net presence from middles [player_tooltip player_id='767447' first='Tessa' last='Beckman'] and Liberty Badorek.&nbsp; There is no doubt that setter [player_tooltip player_id='514323' first='Francesca' last='Jensen'] will be feeding them early and often to keep opposing middles at home and not cheating toward the pins.&nbsp; Outsides Catherine Riebli and [player_tooltip player_id='770010' first='Camila' last='Beltre'] will be looking to score well from the left side pins.&nbsp; Head coach Chandler Gibb always knows how to get the best out of this age group and he will have them ready to battle at the tourney.&nbsp; We will be watching them closely as we are looking to get a ton of information on them for our upcoming State Ranking list for the 2029 class.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>MadFrog 15 National Green always has some athletic talent in their younger age groups that everyone loves to watch.&nbsp; We have seen a lot of these young ladies in action and think they have a legit shot at the gold bracket.&nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id='743563' first='Mariel' last='Elizondo'], [player_tooltip player_id='847881' first='Journie' last='Evans'], [player_tooltip player_id='839343' first='Olivia' last='Kitur'], [player_tooltip player_id='745758' first='Rhys' last='Walker'] and crew will not back down from anyone.&nbsp; They are battle tested and love to play the game.&nbsp; We will have lots of information on them after we watch a few of their matches in person so stay tuned.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Austin Performance 15 Adidas had a strong showing at their first tourney of the year that we watched in person.&nbsp; Middle [player_tooltip player_id='831272' first='Chloe' last='Peters'] has all of the power necessary to score on anyone.&nbsp; What impressed me the most was her amazing timing as she approached for quick attacks.&nbsp; If this team is going to be competitive in the Open division, they will need to set her early and often to set the tone.&nbsp; Setter [player_tooltip player_id='920246' first='Kate' last='Rapp'] has the lengthy frame and footwork to track down any ball around the court.&nbsp; She will have a lot of eyes on her just based on her height but from what I saw, everyone will be amazed at her potential.&nbsp; Her skills with the ball are second to none and we will be reporting on her after the tourney.&nbsp; Libero [player_tooltip player_id='786359' first='Allie' last='Garcia'] looks like she could be one of the top ball control experts in the age group from what I saw in the first tourney.&nbsp; If I were an opposing coach, I would not be serving her because she creates such amazing angles when delivering to the setter.&nbsp; The other half of the 6-2 offense is run by Sydney Cummins who is super fast all around the court due to her amazing footowork.&nbsp; The ball comes out of her hands super fast as she delivers the ball to her pins.&nbsp; I really like what she brings to the table and thinks she has some serious potential in the position.&nbsp; This could be a sleeper team to come out of pool number two.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stay tuned for the next volume that will cover more teams and other divisions.&nbsp;
