Big City Luau - Impressive 16u Attackers to See on Day 1

The first day of the Big City Luau tournament was filled with high energy plays and powerful performances, with numerous players leaving a lasting impression on the court. Among the standout attackers, six in particular showcased exceptional skill, athleticism, and game IQ to dominate their matchups. Their ability to terminate, vary their shots, and consistently put pressure on opposing teams led to some very high level competition on the day. Check them out below. Fluth was a new player for me to catch in action. And, is she impressive. Like most dynamic outsides, she she can take those huge impressive swings on in system balls that are jaw dropping. However, where she really stands out is her ability to take those big swings on out of system balls as well showcasing the ability to score from a variety of situations with ease. She carried a heavy offensive load for her team while remaining efficient in her movements. Defensively, she was also consistent and reliable, contributing solidly as a true six rotation outside stud.       Hoberg showcased a strong net presence on both offense and defense. She elevates well and uses her vertical to deliver powerful, effective swings to both corners of the court. Defensively, she reads the game well at the net and moves efficiently to close blocks and generate quality block touches that slow down opposing attacks.       Ferraro is a strong middle hitter with a high point of contact that allows her to attack effectively over and around the block. She demonstrates solid attacking angles and a quick arm snap, making her a reliable offensive threat. She is also a force on defense as she reads the opposing teams offense well and positions herself effectively, enabling her to put up a solid block. Her awareness and athleticism at the net contribute impactfully on both sides of the court.     Fell is a long, athletic middle who uses her length, speed, and power to be a strong presence at the net. She has a solid arm snap and quick reach that allow her to attack with authority. Additionally, she demonstrates excellent reactions in fast-paced situations and strong overall court awareness which make her a middle on the rise that we can't wait to see more of.     Hutchins is a strong, athletic middle who brings power and stability to the court. She uses her height and speed well to be a strong player in both attacking and blocking situations. Offensively, she is able to terminate with force, and defensively she presents a consistent, steady block through good positioning and timing. Her consistency and physicality make her a dependable player for this highly success team.     Johnson is a dynamic outside hitter with a strong, quick arm swing that allows her to attack and terminate with power. She also displays a wide range of shots and shows a high volleyball IQ by effectively using off speed rolls, tips, and pushes to score points over and around the block. Her versatility makes her a consistent offensive threat that teams have a hard time adjusting to.
