Kendall was an big part of helping lead her team to a 3-0 day. She ran a great offense throughout the day, but also contributed in other ways that may go unseen. She plays with a fast tempo, and sees where the holes are in the defense while being able to get the hitters on her team the ball in the best location to beat the defense. She also was great with her serving, going on multiple point runs and keeping the other team out of system for a lot of the day. Lastly she played with a lot of passion and energy throughout the day, and it was very evident the girls on the team look up to her as a leader and trust her to manage the offense.

Another setter who stood out on day one was Makenna from Ascent 17. She was running a very crisp and well balanced offense throughout the day. She was very impressive with her soft hands, and being able to run the middle for a good part of the day on a bunch of different sets. As a setter being able to establish her middle early made life really easy for the pins hitters as the day progressed. She is also athletic enough and strong enough to make the tough set across the court and not take the easy set. Her court IQ was on display as she made sure to get the right hitters the ball when needed. She also stood out with her ability to play the whole game as her defense and serving were also top level. If she plays like that the next two days, we could see Ascent make a deep run here in Vegas.

Kallie is a great pin hitter to watch because she can do a lot in terms of her offense, defense, and serve/serve receive. However, if you ask a passer by what stands out the most it is her offensive game and man... did she ever put some balls down today. She is someone who plays way bigger then her frame, and jumps out of the gym to not only go over some blocks but gets high enough to create angles to hit around them as well. She is someone who can score a ton of point with her offense but also provides that calming presence with her defense and serve receive that helps her teammates even more. If you have time for sure swing by her court and you will see a 6 rotational pin who can do a lot in terms of high level volleyball.

Rylie plays club in California but goes to high school in AZ and today we got to see her again in person! Overall Rylie plays a externally high level of volleyball and you wouldn't have any clue that she is only a freshman. She attacks the ball with a lot of pace and power and is able to go through a lot of blocks, or beat them if they are even a hair late. She is also more then capable in serve receive and defense of holding her own and playing 6 rotations when needed. Even more impressive is the block she is able to put up as she takes up a lot of space and is extremely physical at the point of attack. She is someone who is going to turn a lot of heads over the next year and should continue to do well this tournament.

Kennedy was all over the place today for Revolution as they played. Watching her play she is a very high level defender who is able to get a ton of touches on balls and keep her team in system with her overall play. You can see as she plays she sees a lot of things before they happen is able to get her feet to the ball early to create good contact points with her platform. She also plays with a ton energy, which we love to see out of liberos! Most importantly she directed the back row and takes up a lot of space when teams try to serve near her. Overall, one of the best days from a libero that we saw and will look for that to continue in the next few days.

Abigail is a pin hitter in the class of 2028 and man did she ever have a day. She led her team in kills in each set/match throughout day 1 and was probably one of the best offensive players on the floor from all the teams. Abigail terminated the ball at a high rate and was always placing the ball where defenders weren't. She showed a extremely high IQ throughout the day and was able to earn a ton of point with not only her power, but with her finesse and ability to tool the block. Abigail is trending upwards this tournament and someone to keep and eye on in the next few days!
