Prep Dig continued its partnership with USA Volleyball at the West Coast National Qualifier Showcase, held at the Momentous Sports Center on April 1st. The event brought together athletes from across the region looking to compete in front of college coaches while being evaluated by Prep Dig scouts and court coaches. Showcases like this continue to provide a valuable platform for athletes to be seen, tested, and recognized for their individual performance and intangibles. Let's take a closer look at three players who earned Top Performer honors based on what they showed on the court.

Natasha Willaert, a Class of 2027 outside hitter from Millikan High School and [program_tooltip program_id='429516' first='Seal' last='Beach Volleyball Club'], brings the kind of physical tools and competitive wiring that college coaches at the next level are going to want to take a long look at. Standing at 5'11", she has the frame to play at a high level, and she uses that length well, both in her approach and at the net while blocking. Natasha attacks with purpose and has the ability to swing through contact rather than just getting the ball over, which tells you her mechanics are in a great place. She is effective in serve receive and understands how to stay connected to the point even when the ball is not coming to her. What stood out was her ability to compete on both pins and adjust her angles based on what the block was giving her. There is still upside here as she continues to grow into her game, but the foundation is already evident. Natasha is a 2027 prospect who has the tools and the trajectory to generate attention if she continues to progress in her craft. Please help us congratulate her on earning Top Performer honors at this showcase event.

[player_tooltip player_id='959331' first='Ravyn' last='Gailliard'], a Class of 2028 right side from Centennial High School in Corona and Pipeline Volleyball Club, made an impression with her physical presence and her willingness to be a weapon on the right pin. At 5'10", she plays bigger than her height suggests, using her athleticism and timing to create angles that give blockers problems. Ravyn is not a passive attacker as she hunts the ball and competes to score, which is a quality you cannot coach into a player at this stage of development. She was sharp transitioning from defense to offense and showed the ability to get her feet under her quickly in scramble situations. Her blocking instincts on the right side are worth noting as well, as she was active and engaged rather than simply going through the motions on that side of the net. For a 2028, she already plays with a maturity and physicality that will draw attention from programs looking for a right-side option with room to grow. Ravyn is a prospect who is worth tracking early. Please help us congratulate her on earning Top Performer honors at this showcase event.

[player_tooltip player_id='698064' first='Makala' last='Baker'], a Class of 2030 setter from Rancho Cucamonga High School and Forza1 North Volleyball Club, caught your eye immediately with her left-handed delivery and natural athleticism, which was a combination that is genuinely rare at any level. Left-handed setters create a different look for hitters and can be disorienting for opposing defenses and Makala already seems to understand how to use that advantage. Her ball-handling showed touch and intent, and she moved well in both directions, which tells you her footwork fundamentals are being developed the right way. What was most encouraging was her feel for the game at this young age. She was scanning the court and making reads rather than just running a predictable pattern. For a player this young, her athletic ceiling is the headline, but her processing speed is what will keep her ahead of the curve as the game speeds up around her. Forza1 North is a program that has consistently developed setters, and she looks like someone who is going to benefit from that environment. Makala is a very intriguing young prospects in her class and coaches should put her on their board now. Please help us congratulate her on earning Top Performer honors at this showcase event.
