We've had a lot of trilogies lately, so why not add one more for Nebraska's future stars?

The Class of 2029 has been the latest group in our coverage spotlight as our USAV Nationals previews roll on. Part 1 and Part 2 of this feature series have jumped around the stacked crew of 15s--and some of the 16s--teams heading to the big stage in Indianapolis. The spring season has revealed a lot about trend-setting 2029s in the Great Plains Region, and we're now primed for the biggest test of all.

Well, we're almost ready. We still have a handful of rising sophomores we'd like to mention before the flurry of postseason action begins.

It's become customary to lead these features off with a Class of 2029 star getting it done with the 16s. VCNebraska 16 Elite gets plenty of ball control contributions from athletes playing up a year, and Vejraska is at the center of it all. The Norris standout has been the kind of all-around commander we'd expect with a VCNebraska frontrunner. 16 Elite's Big South Qualifier triumph exhibited Vejraska's willingness to play around the dial and square up with physical foes at the net. She combines that aggression with the defensive instincts needed to be a right-back force. Vejraska has consistently elevated 16 Elite standards through the qualifier grind, and the results have followed.

We've been fortunate enough to follow Nebraska Elite 15 Apex through various event stops. Meister and her team had a strong debut on the Great Plains stage, but that show has traveled, too. The Omaha Westside setter brought her familiar brand of deceptive setting to the Prep Dig Circuit to take on our Iowa Clash. Meister embraced the opportunity to compete against older squads, priming her team for the Open qualifier gauntlet. 15 Apex was awarded with an at-large GJNC bid, and Meister's long highlight tape will surely expand.

We have little doubt about who paves the way for Club Legacy 15 Alpha's explosive offense. Peatrowsky burst onto last fall's prep scene with a team-leading three kills per set for Omaha Westview. She joins many of her Wolverine co-conspirators at Club Legacy and has harnessed that year-round cohesion. Peatrowsky has a knack for slugging through the block and overpowering backcourt defenders with her crosscourt heat. Opposing teams try to disrupt Peatrowsky's rhythm through aggressive serves, but this skilled left-side hitter can easily transition from passing to attacking. A perfect run through the Salt Lake City Showdown has upped Peatrowsky's early stock to its highest point yet.

VCNebraska 15 Black provided plenty of new names for our most recent 2029 watch list update. Chamness was part of that wave after compiling a string of strong weekends for her well-rounded crew. She generated clutch swings and quality touches as 15 Black battled through a Saturday marathon at the Great Plains Region Bid Tournament. Even when plays looked disorganized, Chamness found ways to better the ball on the third contact. That's an invaluable skill to deploy in an always-chaotic 15s race.

We've talked a lot about qualifier results in this series, but Donner's big first impression came outside the USAV circuit. I had the chance to cover Premier Nebraska 15 Gold in a single-match feature at Triple Crown NIT, and this elite venue brought a new side of Donner's unique game. We knew about her unstoppable power behind the setter, but we were taken aback by Donner's flexibility as a backcourt opposite, too. She remained involved in the offense if 15 Gold had to change its system on the fly. 15 Open teams will have a lot to deal with when scouting Donner's vast on-court influence.

Platek joins a wide array of multi-talented frontcourt attackers in the South Central NE 15 Black frontcourt. The St. Paul standout can oscillate between pins, giving the small-town crew no shortage of lineup options to consider for GJNC. And, like many of her 15 Black teammates, Platek has already logged plenty of varsity experience while putting up a triple-digit kill total for the Wildcats. That momentum should lead to a big finish to 2026.

Every GJNC contender needs its six-rotation anchor on the pin. Kleppinger is an ideal candidate to carry this niche with Premier Nebraska 15 Silver, which nearly made a championship climb at this year's Show Me Qualifier. That ascent tested 15 Silver's pin prowess, and Kleppinger passed the test through every phase of the journey. She was a leading out-of-system terminator for her team, particularly during the long, grueling matches in the Kansas City spotlight. However, Kleppinger's presence as a primary passer was equally influential. These assets earned a USAV Nationals berth through the Great Plains Region Bid Tournament, putting Kleppinger back in the mix for the summer finale.

We've had a lot of trilogies lately, so why not add one more for Nebraska's future stars?
