Miss Johnson is a 5’7” setter from Mansfield High School who competes for Skyline Juniors Volleyball Club , and she has blossomed into one of the most exciting young setters we have watched develop over the past year. We first saw her perform at one of our summer showcases and she immediately caught our attention with both her skill set and her infectious personality. In my expert opinion, that personality is the special ingredient that truly elevates her ceiling as a leader on the court. She is the type of athlete who is bubbly, energetic, and genuinely connects with everyone she meets. That natural leadership presence has played a huge role in helping keep her club team among the hottest programs in the country. As a setter, she distributes the ball with supreme confidence and a clear understanding of how to put her hitters in the best possible scoring positions. Younger setters would benefit greatly from studying the way she runs an offense and commands the court. Her hands are incredibly soft and the ball seems to float effortlessly out of them with precision to every attacking lane. We have truly enjoyed watching her growth and getting to know her as both a player and a person.
