About Abrielle

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play volleyball with passion and focus, bringing energy and intensity to every point. As a setter, I strive to make smart decisions on the court, adjusting quickly and staying composed under pressure. I confidently fulfill my role, supporting my team and contributing in every way that I can. I can be seen bringing the positive, competitive energy in ever match!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

As a competitor, I have a strong desire to win and always push myself to perform at my best. At the same time, I keep a positive, outgoing attitude that helps build team chemistry and keep the energy high. I take the game seriously, but I also know how to have fun and lift others up. My mentality balances drive and determination with genuine love for the game and the people around me.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been active in both dance and student council to help bring energy and school spirit to our community. Through dance, I contribute to performances and events that uplift and engage students. In student council, I help plan activities and advocate for ideas that make out school more connected and inclusive. Together, these roles let me support a positive and involved school culture.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through my involvement in sports, dance, and student council, I have developed strong leadership skills guiding others and helping plan successful events. I have learned the value of teamwork, always communicating clearly, and supporting those around me to reach our goals together. Staying organized has been key to balancing my responsibilities and staying on top of tasks.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A significant challenge I faced was being hospitalized for 10 days due to high liver enzymes, which forced me to miss valuable time with my team and the opportunity to play in the Lonestar Classic. I felt disconnected and frustrated, but I focused on my recovery and stayed mentally strong. This experience taught me resilience and reminded me how important my health and support system are.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that has a winning culture-where excellence is expected and success is earned through hard work and teamwork. I want to be part of a program that feels like family, where I'm supported both on and off the court. It's important to me to find a place where I can grow, all four years, and proudly finish my degree. I'm looking for more than just a team-I'm looking for a home.

Miss Johnson is currently an unranked prospect in the 2029 class according to our Texas State Rankings but that is only because we have not released them yet.  She plays volleyball at Crowley High School and also for the Dallas Skyline volleyball club. When we talk about leadership as coaches, we mainly want someone who will get people to follow them.  This usually happens with either leading by example or leading vocally.  A lot of younger players have trouble with the vocal aspect because they are afraid of what people may think of them.  Abrielle is a natural leader who leads with both her play and her voice.  There are very few players who can hold my attention with their voice after twenty five years of coaching, but I think she is one of the best to do it.  She had me smiling from ear to ear with her celebrations of others and court talk to all of her teammates whether she was on the court or off of it.  This young lady will go far in life and not just sports due to her awesome personality and leadership style.  If you go watch her this year, be very careful because you may not want to leave her court as she will draw you in with her fun personality.  Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at our showcase.
