About Mary-Christine
Expert Analysis
Anjonai Bruno | Prep Dig Scout
She is someone you have to pay attention to every time she steps on the court. From the first serve, she makes her presence known. Her topspin serve is aggressive and controlled, putting consistent pressure on passers and immediately shifting momentum. At the net, she pairs that with a powerful, clean arm swing that allows her to terminate at a high level.
What makes her even more dangerous is that her game is complete. She is not just an offensive threat. In the back row, she is calm, disciplined, and reliable. She reads the game well, controls her platform, and makes plays that keep her team in system. That balance between offense and defense makes her a true six-rotation impact player.
Above everything, her leadership stands out. She is constantly communicating, holding her team together, and setting the tone on the court. You can feel her presence in every rally. She competes, she leads, and she produces.

is a 5’11” outside hitter from Mansfield High School who competes for
Texas Advantage
Volleyball Club, and she has earned the distinction of being ranked as the top overall player in the Class of 2029 in the state of Texas. We have had the privilege of watching her play up in older age groups for quite some time now, and she has never looked out of place competing against more experienced athletes. In fact, she has thrived as a true six-rotation outside hitter who can stay on the court at all times because of the explosive impact she brings in both the front row and the back row. Her vertical leap allows her to sky above the net while her lightning fast arm speed gives her the ability to beat even the most disciplined blocks. But the most impressive part of her game is not just the physical tools. When you watch her compete, you quickly realize she carries the mindset of a warrior who refuses to back down from anyone on the court. She plays the game with the kind of relentless drive and determination that reminds you of the legendary mamba mentality that made Kobe Bryant so great. That combination of physical talent and competitive fire is extremely rare, and it is exactly why she has earned this top honor. Please help us congratulate MC Crutcher on being named the number one player in the Prep Dig Texas Class of 2029 rankings.

turned in a statement performance at the Tour of Texas Austin Stop, earning Top Performer recognition while playing up an age group against elite national competition. Standing at 5’11”, the 2029 outside hitter rose to the moment in a high-level matchup against A5 out of Atlanta, one of the premier programs in the country. Offensively, Crutcher was fearless and productive, scoring at will and shouldering the load when her team needed a steady point scorer. Her ability to remain aggressive against a well-formed block spoke volumes about her confidence and competitive maturity. Defensively, she was just as impactful, showing exceptional awareness as an off-side blocker by flying in to save deflections and tips that would normally fall untouched. Those effort plays extended rallies and kept momentum on her team’s side in critical moments. With her physical tools, two-way impact, and composure against top-tier talent, Crutcher is clearly on a fast track to becoming one of the nation’s elite players in her class.

Who says freshman aren’t invited to the party? It doesn’t matter because MC has pushed open the door and screamed, “The party don’t start til I walk in!” Her play is proving that her name belongs in the mix of youngsters who can flat out score the rock. This young lady is extremely explosive and I am not sure if anyone can stop her. The hitting percentage of .341 shows that not many are up to the task. With only 57 errors on the year, she will be looking to set some records over the course of her entire high school career. She just might become the best player to come out of Mansfield high school when it is all said and done. In the meantime, we will love watching her assassinate everyone in her way on the road to stardom.

MC Crutcher is going to have to wait almost two years before her official start to recruiting can begin as a 2029. The six rotation outside hitter is so dynamic from anywhere on the court from her passing to shot making skills. However, when she gets the chance to swing big – it’s violent. She is a fierce competitor and is one to watch on a national level where she hasn’t even had one day of high school.

is a dominant outside hitter making waves at USAV Nationals in Dallas. She attacks with a powerful yet controlled approach, expertly reading blockers and adjusting her shot mid-air to exploit seams and open court. Mary excels in high-pressure situations, delivering clutch kills on tight sets and thriving in out-of-system plays where she maintains balance and aggression despite imperfect passes.
Her ability to vary shot selection—from tooling the block, hitting sharp cross-court angles, to dumping over the net—keeps defenses guessing. Mary also contributes with smart serve receive, allowing her team to run a clean offense. Her consistent hustle and relentless pursuit of every ball make her a dynamic and complete player—one that truly stands out on the national stage.

MC is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but that is only because I have not released them yet. She will potentially play volleyball at Mansfield High School next year and currently plays up an age group for the Dallas Skyline volleyball program. Miss Crutcher is one of those rare phenoms who can already dominate the game of volleyball with their god given gifts of athleticism. She was a member of the famed “Ten Foot Club” at age thirteen. What makes her super special is how she is able to play all around in any position on the court. As an attacker, she can score in bunches and opposing coaches should track her in every rotation to make sure that they are going to get a double block on her. In the back row, she is just as deadly as she has ball control like a libero. There will be tons of talk about her in a few weeks in the recruiting world amongst college coaches. If you have been hiding under a rock and don’t know her name, I highly suggest you jot it down. She is a very special athlete.

Playing one age group up, Crutcher was excellent for the Dallas Skyline 15 Royal – Yun team that tied for fifth with five wins and two losses. She displayed a great combination of power and technique, delivering well on both sides of the ball. Offensively, Crutcher was powerful and productive, getting off the floor well and making contact with the ball at a high point, but also making good choices to put it down both on the left and the right. The outside hitter also displayed excellent ball control and was extremely reliable in serve-receive.
