Chapman was a reliable scoring option for division winners HJV 18 Elite, using her great physical tools to consistently put the ball down. She was set in high-pressure moments and responded well, remaining calm and making good decisions to get the point. Chapman also displayed a good offensive arsenal, hitting different sets from the right and the left and using a variety of resources to score off of them. She also contributed with her big and intelligent blocking, which caused issues for opposing hitters.

This weekend was probably among the best performances I ever saw from Chapman, who was dominant on the right for division winners HJV 18 Elite. Her production and her consistency were both exceptional and gave her team a strong scoring option when she was at the net. Chapman was solid from the right and the left, hitting quick and higher sets and making a strong approach and taking full advantage of her right contact point to score. She was pretty resourceful too, finding sharp angles and tooling the block to score while also keeping her errors very low. Her big and technical blocker was also a factor at the net.

An extremely long player, Chapman can be a force at the net. She mostly plays on the left with the Tigers, but can also be deployed on the right or even the middle, as she did in part of the last club season with Houston Juniors. Chapman has a very high contact point when hitting and she’s at her best when she uses it to go over the top of opposing blockers and send the ball towards the end line. Her blocking is also very solid.

The long outside hitter had a difficult start, making some mistakes and struggling to score on set one, but rebounded nicely. As she settled into the game, Chapman started using her 6’3″ frame better to have the edge over Paetow shorter blockers and got to score more consistently by hitting with power towards the end line. She played some rotations on the right too and looked more comfortable there.
