Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I live by “see ball get ball” and I’m guaranteed to be the loudest on court. I’m the loudest and I also listen. I rather be quick on my feet and reach a ball to pass over diving for every ball. But can flatten out nicely to pancake one up for the save.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m always learning and I want corrections. I’m very steady and dependable in close sets because I stay focused and communicate.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am apart of HBC which is Hoosier Barbell Club. Where we compete Olympic Weightlifting style.
I belong to National Honor Society and Student Government. This year I helped raise over 10,000 for Lurie Children’s Hospital.
I am also part of CASS which stands for creating a safe school. Where I go to middle schools and help run an anti bullying workshop of 6th graders.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Being apart of HBC I have learn a lot about lifting form and I’m picked a lot to help guide the underclass men for volleyball while in the weight room.
Raising the 10,000 for Luries meant so much to me. I offered to speak at the event since it is the hospital I go to to be treated for Crohns Disease. Speaking about how special the hospital is will be something I will always go back and do.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I was diagnosed with Crohns in the first grade. I didn’t reach remission until 7th grade and I’ve been remission ever since. Basically I didn’t start growing until then and I’ve been told that’s why I’m only 5 foot. Having and older sister that plays the game at 5ft 8in I was always told to play tall so that’s what I did. I jumped in the weight room and started training tall!
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m pretty open to this at the moment. I’m deciding between teaching and medical right now. Hoping to have a better idea this coming up school year. I took teaching classes last year and are taking more medical based classes this year so I can make a decision about major. I want a coach that loves questions and likes a hungry player because that’s me. I want a team that loves it as much I do
