There’s our Class D1 champion again. Amherst climbed the state tournament ladder in 2025 and highlighted a wide array of age groups and positions along the way. Simmons was another one of Amherst’s switch-up hitters who participated in the team’s diverse routes and combination plays. This effort yielded over 300 kills on an offense that boasted some tremendous balance and efficiency. Having such a prolific sophomore scorer bodes well for Amherst’s quest to repeat this fall.
