About Addyson

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Energetic, quick, passionate, smart, and a good teammate.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is to never let a ball drop, be a great teammate, hustle and play with energy, communicate, and that having chemistry with your team and loving them will always beat having talent but no chemistry.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am also involved in softball, fca, and I have gotten student of the month awards along with being on honor roll for having a 4.0.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership, going through tough things but continuing to work even though you feel like quitting sometimes, and learning to listen to your body when it needs a break instead of being to hard on it.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Becoming a setter for my HS varsity volleyball team after not setting for 2 years was very tough, but I put in the extra work and was lifting and up at the gym working every day and have improved tremendously.

What type of college are you looking for?

One that has a good community, coaches, culture, and teammates. Not really super specific, until I start visiting colleges I will not know for sure.

Beloit’s Channell was one of the athletes who traveled the furthest to attend this event. I saw her play last summer and early during the prep season. I could already notice an improvement in her game. Her confidence has improved since those earlier matches. She would be one of two setters in this group.

Channell’s freshman season stat line included 288 assists, 141 kills, and 110 digs. She is currenlty ranked No. 6 overall in the Kansas Class of 2029.
