Reid did what she could for a short-handed A.72 team that has several players out on spring break so Reid and some of the other 72 regulars played with teammates from other Alpha squads. Reid made plenty of quality first touches trying to track down balls like crazy. Reid is coachable and continuously encourages her teammates.

Reid (pictured) showed a lot of grit on the court. She remains on an even keel no matter the situation so she can calmly make plays. She does a good job mixing things up. Reid makes sound touches then quickly gets into her secondary position protecting near the net on blocks. Reid also makes a lot of things happen with her serving. Reid had 244 assists, 214 digs and 61 aces for Nicholas County this past fall.

Reid hustled all over the court making play after play to lift the Jackets to that elusive first district championship. Reid stayed calm under duress staying within herself. Reid consistently made sound sets even if outside the preferred setting zone, mixing things up. Reid put herself in great position to make sound touches in the 6-2 Nicholas County formation. Reid is also a sound server. Reid said things work well with the other setter in Mackenzie Davenport because they both get opportunities on defense and one is always on the court to set things up.

Reid plays her part in the 6-2 Nicholas County attack. Reid puts her teammates in position to succeed. Reid has nice range allowing her to track down a number of balls and make things happen is first touches sway outside the preferred setting spots on the front row. Reid is also a solid setter for the Jackets.

Reid leads the Jackets in assists and digs early in the season. She’ll need to do that and more if Nicholas County is to pull off the first win in program history against Harrison County. Her good range will be key to digging up Harrison County’s sound hitters. She also does a good job setting up hitters and make crisp first passes.

If the Jackets are to make it back to the 10th Region Tournament, Reid (pictured) could be a key to making sure they do it. She has good range on the court and squares her body up well to balls to make sound passes. Reid could step in to set if needed.

Reid plays a huge defensive specialist role for the A.62 team. She moves her feet well and puts herself in good position to make sound passes. Reid constantly encourages her teammates on the court and the bench. Reid said the coaches have worked with her on quick feet and her ball control and it’s paying off.
