Mays takes minimal steps to balls and forms balls around them to make smooth two to three-point passes. Mays slides when needed and sends free balls over with a purpose. She has a nice connection to the Frederick Douglass setter.

Mays does a nice job trying to get the A.61 team in system with her sound passing. Mays is a great communicator in the back row. She puts out sound line drive serves to keep opponents out of rhythm. Mays said aces help pick the team’s energy back up after the team gets down.
