About Allison

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a libero, I am always trying to read and stay one step ahead of where the ball is going. I’m quick, dive for everything, and do whatever it takes to keep the ball off the floor. I focus on making good passes and helping my team stay in control.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am an out-going, social, bubbly, positive player that is always trying to hype my team. I go out of my way to make my team happy and be cohesive because our attitude off the court is just as important when on the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in honors classes at my school and currently on the honor roll. I attend Rock Point High school youth organization which is part of a non-denominational Christian church.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am currently team captain for my JV team. I also helped coach my little sisters volleyball team at the YMCA and plan to assist in coaching at my current club when time permits. I love to be involved and absolutely love my club team and high school team. My biggest skill is communication, confidence, and positivity. I love to bring my teammates up and anyone around me when they are feeling down.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, one is when I start to lose focus when I make a couple of mistakes especially in the game. I am too hard on myself sometimes and need to remember all the training I have done and go back to the basics.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am interested in a college that supports being a student athlete. I love the game but academics is important to me too. I am looking for a school that will support me in becoming a sports physical therapist and any that would offer me the chance to be a part of their volleyball program.
