Offensively, Penrose does an excellent job mixing power with placement. She understands how to attack different defensive schemes and consistently finds ways to score with intelligent shot selection rather than relying solely on strength. Her ability to read the game allows her to be effective even when she isn’t directly involved in the play.

We also had the opportunity to watch her showcase some middle-back defense, and she handled the responsibility extremely well. Her ability to contribute as a six-rotation pin only reinforces the versatility and upside she possesses. Players who can impact the game in all six rotations are highly valuable, and Penrose continues to prove she has the tools to be one of those athletes. Between her competitiveness, athleticism, defensive abilities, and natural feel for the game, she has a very bright future ahead, and we’re excited to continue following her journey.

Kami is having a excellent start to the season and is on a exponential growth rate this season. From where she was at the end of last season to where she is today she is already jumping higher and swinging harder. She is really coming out of her shell and showcasing the top level talent she is and doing it all by playing on one of the best teams in AZ.

What separates her is her complete game. Kami is a steady passer who can be trusted in primary serve-receive rotations, keeping the offense balanced and in system. Defensively, she moves well laterally (fast too), reads attackers early, and consistently keeps balls in play with top level technique. Her transition game is efficient—she goes from pass or dig to approach quickly and with purpose.

Overall Kami understands shot selection, mixing power with smart placement, and continues to find ways to score even when the set is off the net. Her competitiveness shows during game play especially on offense, where she looks to be a terminal option rather than simply keeping the ball in play. Kami was an all around difference maker who brought effort and confidence to every touch. She swung aggressively from both pins, stayed assertive in broken plays, and played with a belief in her skill set that showed throughout the session. Her ability to score from anywhere on the court consistently kept pressure on the defense.

Kami shared that her versatility allows her to hit comfortably from either pin, and she continues to focus on passing, knowing that reps in serve receive never stop mattering. With just three years of travel experience, she has already finished top ten at Nationals in the Open division multiple times. Her energy, competitiveness, and willingness to contribute in all phases made her the clear MVP on this court.

Kami is someone you will need to go watch as she is someone who could do it all at the event. Powerful arm swing-check… passing dimes in serve receive- check… hard driven float serve-check… the true definition of a 6 rotational pin who can do it all for her team.

Kami is a strong hitter with excellent power on attacks, especially on high balls and back-row attacks and not just in system balls. When she is in system good luck slowing her down as she has a heavy swing and is able to go through the block as well as being smart enough to go around a block as well. She can also throw in some off speed shots as well. In terms of her passing she is also a high level passer with both her defense and serve receive. She passes with great form almost every time and when she does get her arms and feet to the ball she gets it to the setter and in system more often then not. She is a true definition of an all around hitter for a pin.

Kami is a complete, well-rounded hitter with the ability to impact the game in multiple ways. She is not only an offensive threat but she has an all around game in defense, serving, and serve receive. She is a true 6 rotational pin hitter who you need to get out and see at a tournament this season.
