plays with the pace, physicality, and explosiveness that made her an obvious fit for UCLA. Watching her courtside, her transition speed jumps out immediately — fast feet, aggressive routes, and a high contact point that makes her difficult to stop. Harwood attacks with authority and consistently finishes in rhythm.
Defensively, she changes matches. Harwood closes fast, seals seams with intent, and disrupts offenses with her timing and reach. Her motor and competitive edge show up every rally. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

has continued to set the standard for what it means to be a truly dynamic middle in Arizona high school volleyball. A consistent and commanding presence on the court, she has been the driving force behind Casteel’s rise to the #4 seed heading into the state playoffs. Her leadership and poise were on full display in the final stretch of the regular season, as she helped the Colts pull off a thrilling upset over the #3-ranked Hamilton Huskies — a win that solidified Casteel’s place among the state’s top contenders.
Statistically, Brooke’s season has been nothing short of elite. She currently ranks #2 among seniors and #4 overall in Arizona for hitting percentage, swinging at a remarkable .411. With 366 kills and 85 blocks already this season, she continues to prove that she’s one of the most complete and efficient middles in the state. As she approaches a major career milestone — closing in on 1,500 career kills — Brooke’s consistency, athleticism, and sheer determination continue to separate her from the rest.
But what truly makes Brooke special is her competitive spirit and her relentless drive to win. Whether it’s coming through in clutch moments or inspiring her teammates with her intensity, she embodies everything you want in a leader. There’s no doubt that Brooke plans to finish her senior year on her own terms — by chasing a state championship with everything she’s got.

What can we say that hasn’t been already said about the number 1 senior in the class of 2026. Not only is she the number 1 middle but she is the number 1 player in the senior class because of her impact talent on both the offensive and defensive side of the court.
She has been a member of team USA as well, and played this last year for the U19 team, one could make a case she is one of the best middles in the nation and not just AZ. She currently ranks 23rd in the national rankings for all players on PrepDig.
The UCLA commit is a threat on the offensive end since she can hit in front and behind the setter, it is hard to pin point what he best offensive attack is as she hits at such a high clip when she runs those sets. She currently has a .456 hitting percentage and is killing the ball at a 52% rate. She is just a high volume and high efficiency player that you rarely see coming out of the middle.
Overall she is also a force at the net on defense, routinley taking out an opponents best player or slowing them down enough to where the other side struggles. She has great lateral movement and can get to the block even if she is a bit late because she makes up for it with her exceptional footwork.
A top of the line, and top of the class player from the middle position and an easy choice to pick for top middles of the 2026 class.

After finishing our 2023 season as a top 3 team in the nation, we knew we had unfinished business. We added new and talented players that brought our game to a new level with an electric potential on the court. This season our goals are to earn an open division gold medal and take 1st at Nationals. It won’t be easy, but we are willing to put in the work and support each other to get there.
Although my slide attack has become one of my most dominant plays, my goal this season is to take my offense to an even higher level as well as continuing to elevate my blocking game. I have really focused on owning the net on both offense and defense this year by staying locked in on reading the offense across the net and staying aggressive. By putting in extra work on the court and in the gym I’ve maintained improvements in my power, agility and vertical. I have focused on consistency this year and I will continue to challenge every opposing middle I go up against.
My team and I are excited to show what we can do at the Salt Lake City Showdown. I am pumped for the competition we will face in Utah and the chance to go up against teams that we have not played before. We are all in to stand out from the other top 16 Open teams. Brooke’s first match is scheduled for Friday, April 12 at 8:00 AM. Salt Palace Convention Center, Court 43, against CPA 16 Benson.
