About Ameya

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Im a competitive player.I would describe myself as a versatile player that can play most positions and try’s my best to go 100% on the court each time . I try to not only score plays but to make smart plays to guarantee a point . I keep a positive attitude and make sure to go for any ball wherever it is . i always tell myself that you can do it and i put my mind to it everytime.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I believe my mentality on the court is such a big thing. Many times i’ve seen myself getting down on myself but i continue to play hard and put my team first . I always keep the mindset that i need to shake it off and i can get the next one . I think i would describe my personality as a teammate that supports my team and helps in the best way possible .

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I was involved with organizations such as project 150 that helps highschool kids that aren’t so fortunate as i am. Such as new clothes , food , and more.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

The skills and qualities i have developed with leadership and teamwork , has always been for me to uplift my team and do what i can do help us win . i believe being a good teammate goes along way . whenever one of my teammates gets down i'm always one to uplift and help them. I take leadership serious , being a leader is having people look up to you and u take control to help your team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve faced significant challenges when a new coach was brought in too coach our team . he never gave me a chance to see what i could do and to show him , i felt very discouraged like i wasnt enough . I continued to work hard and show what i can do . Practiced hard and played hard everyday! I showed what i could do and at the end of the season i got the Coaches award.

What type of college are you looking for?

Any D1 college or any HBCU college .
