About Anna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

'Athletic' is how my game is generally described. I rely on strong fundamentals as the foundation that allows me to use my athleticism to be creative and spontaneous in my gameplay.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Always lead by example, then focus on what my team needs in each game. I aim to be the calming and positive influence first for them on the court, but can be quick to become the spark of excitement when needed.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been selected as a Beta Club member and representative on the superintendent council, chosen by teachers and leaders. I volunteer at the local community center and am a member of the GRC Drug Free Youth Club.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've developed and continue to work on my ability to adapt to challenging situations with positivity and focus on helping others. On the court I have learned that teammates will support and follow growth and positivity without concern for age or grade.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As a freshman player to make the varsity team, while simultaneously transitioning to the challenges of high school academics, and recovering from an injury, was intimidating both mentally and physically. I was able to grow from the challenge, earning the starting setter position and transitioning to be a co-captain as a sophomore.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am seeking a competitive and positive environment that will continue to challenge me, as my coaches do now, to strive for improvement within a winning culture.

Cooper’s experience is paying off for the Cardinals this fall as she’s eclipsed more than 1,000 assists on the season. Cooper (pictured) uses her athleticism to set balls at unique angles and different speeds. She does what she can to help the Cardinals take quality rips on balls both in and out of system. Cooper has a great jump serve and makes nice passes. Cooper has 407 assists, 69 digs and 20 aces on the season for George Rogers Clark.
