About Asia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am an extremely competitive as well as very strategic. Once I get on the court I am looking for the most effective way possible to win, as well as the smartest way to win.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a very funny person off the court, but once I enter the court I instantly get that “Time to win” mentality.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I was involved in just one project as well as many Christmas and Halloween charity events where I provide people in need with things that they want but cannot financially afford. I have also received student of the month by one of my teachers my freshman year.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Speaking in leadership roles I have learned to always speak up and always state how you feel. A saying that I like is “closed mouths don’t get fed” which will help you understand that if you never say anything you’re never going to get the outcome that you want. Using this skill I have earned MVP awards as well as been nominated as captain on my teams.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced plenty of moments where I feel like a coach is not making the right option with where they place me or how they treat me on the team. But I override these problems by dealing with it and showing what I am a capable of no matter what position or situation I am placed in.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking forward to attending an HBCU in the future, but overall looking for a school I can call home and has all of the elements of a home I am looking for.
