About Aubrey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is super aggressive but controlled. I love going for big swings and being the person my team can trust in pressure moments. I’m loud, competitive, and I bring a ton of energy on the court. I work hard on being consistent and reading the game fast, so I’m always ready to make the next play.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m really competitive, but I stay positive and coachable no matter what’s going on. I like pushing myself, learning new things, and being someone my teammates can rely on. I don’t get discouraged easily, I reset fast, stay focused, and keep working until I get better.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes! I’m involved in a few school clubs and I like staying active outside of volleyball. I’m in DECA and HOSA and I’ve gotten several awards. I try to stay well-rounded and keep my grades strong, so I’m proud of the things I’ve earned in school too.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve definitely grown a lot in leadership and teamwork. I’ve learned how to communicate better on and off the court, and how to help my teammates stay positive during tough moments. I’m also good at staying disciplined and working hard, even when no one’s watching. I try to be someone who makes the team better just by how I show up, not just by how I play.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I’ve faced some challenges. One of the biggest has been learning how to handle pressure and not get in my own head during tough games or situations. I’ve also had to work through times when I doubted myself or felt like I wasn’t improving fast enough. Those moments actually helped me grow a lot, they taught me to stay patient, keep working, and trust the process instead of comparing myself.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a competitive Division I program with high-level volleyball. I really want a school that pushes me athletically and academically. I love the idea of playing for a big, energetic program or any school that has a strong winning culture, great coaching, and a family-type environment. I want to grow, be challenged, and contribute to something big.

Templin gets the nod as the top pin arm in this class to open up the first round of Ohio 2029 rankings. Coach and directors in the greater Cincy area have consistently identified her as one of the best point scorers as a primary outside hitter as she scored a lot for Harrison this past Fall high school season. Through a total of 452 kills, she average 5.2 k/s, asserting herself as a big threat in the SW Ohio conference for the next three years. At 6’1, she can contact high while bringing a lot of heat and movement.
