About Audrey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am very scrappy and persistent, which makes other teams frustrated when they are playing me. I communicate extra (before, during, after the play). I always try to better the ball.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am very energetic and supportive when my teammates make a good play, or even if we get the point on an unforced error from the other team. I believe in the saying “the game isn’t over until the game is over”

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I was a student ambassador in middle school, I have been a part of SGA at my school for the past three years, and I am part of the National Honor Society at West Springfield.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership all throughout my high school career. I have also learned how to give and take respectful criticism. I have learned how to be a part of a team and be inclusive. I learned how to be communicative to my teammates, classmates, and even people I’m unfamiliar with.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I started volleyball in 8th grade, which is significant later than most girls who start playing. Breaking through that “new” barrier and having to prove myself was really challenging. This year our starting setter for high school got injured in the beginning of our season, and we faced a major leadership step back. I stepped through my comfort zone and stepped into that leadership position.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with a very close program where everyone is friends and supportive of eachother. But I also want them to be able to push me academically and athletically. I want a college that is known for its good culture.

Since Jeremy was assessing liberos I recommended he look at one. Audrey impressed me playing for West Springfield and I sought a second opinion. Color us unanimous.

She sparkled, especially with her communication on the court. Teams do not win state championships without a good active libero. Two years ago when I watched West Springfield play she did not stand out. This past season she took command of the back row. In the class of 2027 rankings she made her first appearance at 51, the second highest debut in our most recent rankings (though Prep Dig historical records show she may have also made a January 2025 debut).

Audrey will take her skills to Virginia Juniors 16 where she will team up with another top performer setter Zeynep Anaz Zeynep Anaz Zeynep Anaz 5'9" | S/RS Marshall-Falls Church | 2028 State VA and a number of prior top performers such as Reese Roberts Reese Roberts Reese Roberts 5'9" | MB/RS Patriot | 2027 State VA and Mandela Masimini Mandela Masimini Mandela Masimini 6'4" | MB Flint Hill School | 2028 State VA to earn a junior national bid.
