Gray put forth a great effort for the E-gals who had not made it this far since 2016. She brings great versatility to Apollo. Gray takes sound swings and can execute roll shots when the E-gals are out of system. Gray also makes good first touches and quickly runs to the net trying to form good double blocks. Gray is not afraid to execute pipe plays. That generally separates teams and hitters offensively.

Gray (pictured) makes amazing in-air adjustments. She’ll go up and defenders will shuffle toward the right line thinking she’s ready to send a cross, which does happen. Then at the last second, she pulls up and deposits into the back left four zone, making her tough on go routes. Gray even sends darts from the back row to different spots on the floor. Gray makes the simple passes. She’ll lean when needed to get to balls, but keeps them under control. Gray is good in one-on-one blocking situations and runs good tandems to create hitting space for teammates. Gray said she tries to work around blocks, see the floor and put it down when asked about in-air adjustments. Gray also said she’s been trying to hit more angles.

Gray is putting together a great season for the E-Gals. She makes things happen all over the court. The work on her serve reception has carried over into the regular season for Apollo. Gray takes sound swings and her strong jump serve is hard for many opponents to handle.
