I have always been a big Quam fan so I was excited to see her commit to Northern Michigan. The versatile middle/right side is expected to make a big immediate impact at the next level with her athleticism, offensive ability, and presence at the net. Before making the transition to college, I can’t wait to see her continue to rack up kills and blocks during her final high school season with Maple Grove.

Quam offers rare versatility at the net, excelling both in the middle and on the right side. As a blocker, she reads the game well and uses her length to shut down cross-court angles while forcing hitters into uncomfortable swings. On the offensive side, she terminates effectively in transition and brings a heavy arm swing from both positions. Her ability to slide, attack off one foot, or step in as a terminal right-side option makes her a valuable, multi-dimensional front-row presence.

Quam has been quietly flying under the radar for far too long. I watched her play this club season and was instantly impressed with her skill set. I have primarily seen her on the right side and she is a beast on the court. She is explosive in her approach, has a quick, heavy arm swing, and can find the open court with ease. Quam is also a very solid blocker. She reads the ball well, has a great footwork and reach, and knows how to position her hands so she doesn’t get used by attackers. I anticipate June 15th will be a very busy time for Quam as I am sure many schools will be calling.
