Delaney Vaske Delaney Vaske 6'1" | MB/OH Clear Creek-Amana | 2028 State IA is a dominant force in the middle and has been a key scorer for the CCA offense. She is quick to adjust and remains aggressive with all of her shots. On defense, she holds her own in the middle and does a great job of closing with the pins, making her incredibly tough to hit around. She knows her role, and she executes it well. I am very excited to see how Vaske continues to contribute in the offseason.

I wrote about Vaske after watching her hammer away at the opposite pin for an Adrenaline team that reached the USAV Nationals this past summer. She moved well and displayed a heavy swing. It was interesting watching her step into a larger role at Clear Creek Amana this early season. Vaske was working as a middle hitter, looking just as comfortable delivering as a two-way performer there as she did on the right side during club. That versatility should open doors for her in recruiting. She even shows ability swinging from the outside and could conceivable chip in at all three front row spots. Vaske also brings good energy to the court.

Vaske saw varsity reps for a Clear Creek Amana outfit that reached the Class 4A state tournament semifinals after sitting atop the rankings for much of last season. With the Clippers graduating firepower from their front row, the junior-to-be should compete for more rotation time in 2026 if her performance at the Mizuno Midwest JVA Challenge during the first weekend of May in Central Iowa is any indication. Vaske brought a heavy swing to the opposite pin for an Adrenaline team that finished fifth in the 16U Open Division. She bounces up off the court and generates explosion through the attack. Vaske reads the block well and does a nice job altering her attack location based on what she identifies. The athleticism and agility also serve her well when throwing up the block as do her long arms. Vaske has big breakout potential for the upcoming campaign.
