Elliot Dorgan Elliot Dorgan 6'1" | OH/DS/L Woodbridge | 2029 State VA earned a spot to the all tournament team. Her setter at both Paramount and Woodbridge Braylin Coacher Braylin Coacher 5'9" | S Woodbridge | 2029 State VA was just as deserving. Perhaps if they had overcome a strong Ocean Lakes team they would have two representatives on the all tournament team. They lost to Ocean Lakes in three to fall into the silver bracket. In the silver bracket they lost to Madison to finish in second place.

Braylin sets a 5/1 for Woodbridge. She also sets a 6/2 for Paramount . At 5’9″ she brings decent height for a setter but her 9’3″ approach jump falls short of what you need in the front row when playing club ball at the open level. She shows good leadership on the court when leading her teams to success. Last year Woodbridge made the Class 6 state bracket. However, they lost in the first round to Mountain View.

Last high school season Woodbridge was one of the surprise teams in the area. They went from 12-10 last year to 15-8 this past season. Unfortunately, in both years they lost in the first round of the Regionals. This year they expect more as their frosh gain another year of experience.

Two of those frosh, Braylin and Elliot Dorgan Elliot Dorgan 6'1" | OH/DS/L Woodbridge | 2029 State VA play for Paramount . Braylin set a 5/1 for Woodbridge earning a first team honors as a frosh. She also snagged a top performer award at a Prep Dig showcase. She sets a 6/2 for Paramount.

Woodbridge made my list as one of eight teams to make the Class 6 playoffs this year.

Braylin won a top performer award at the frosh showcase last summer prior to the high school season. She again stood out at the Virginia exposure tour. Two different coaches pointed her out as a player I needed to watch. It didn’t take a lot of convincing since I have seen her set in high school and club on a number of occasions to know that she is a quality setter.

As a frosh she set for Woodbridge, earning first team honors in the Cardinal District. She led them to the Regionals setting a 5/1. That is a lot to ask of a frosh setter. Eventually they lost in the first round to Mountain View.

This club season she will set for a very talented Paramount 15 team. With Kayla Chang Kayla Chang 5'7" | S/RS Briar Woods | 2029 State VA , another top performer at this event also setting she will probably set a 6/2. It would not surprise me that opportunities open up where both get a chance to set a 5/1.
