Expert Analysis
Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
Platteview has a ton of worthy candidates for this feature series, so don’t close the book on the Trojans after this one. Weldon leads the team’s senior class, providing contributions in almost every phase imaginable. She has been Platteview’s most statistically productive blocker and moves well laterally to close from pin to pin. Her attacking range has seen perhaps the biggest jump through early-season action, upping Weldon’s averages by about a kill per set over last year’s mark. That near-0.400 attacking clip is ample evidence of Weldon’s knack for scoring in front of the setter.
