About Brynn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe it by saying that i always cheer on my teammates on and off the court. I also do my absolute best to not get down on myself after mistakes, or even if my team makes a mistake i make sure everyone knows to let it go and move onto the next play.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

During a game i don't like to focus on mistakes i've made in the past and instead focus how i can improve from them. I also believe that confidence is key, so you need to believe in yourself at all times.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Over the year i have developed so many skills such as having a better perspective about things in volleyball. One example is realizing and understanding more that volleyball is a team sport and if you only focus on yourself and give yourself all the credit it won't get you anywhere in volleyball and even life.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge i have faced over the past year transitioning into high school volleyball is the mentality perspective. I felt so much more pressure to be perfect but in reality everyone makes mistakes and it's okay to mess up sometimes and not be perfect at everything.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college where i can continue to grow my love for volleyball and make amazing connections with new teammates and coaches.

Lommel has a sharp swing and high approach, allowing her to attack the ball high, get around blockers and put it where the defense is not. Her ability to run multiple routes keeps blockers on their toes and forces them to read her swing. She transitions quickly off the net consistently, putting herself in a position to approach and be an option. Lommel is always positive and smiling no matter the score, encouraging her team. All around, she is a strong force at the net, making her presence known, and causing chaos for her opponents.
