Last year Callie missed her high school season because of injury. Her play for Virginia Elite earned her a move up from 63 to 41 in the rankings. She played a solid six rotations and with her hits showed the intelligence to find the empty areas of the court.
For this coming year Madison will need a left side to team with

. The team appears to have the talent to make a run at the Class 6 state championship. Last year they were able to beat state champion Langley three times, but ultimately lost to Battlefield in the semi-finals to lose that opportunity for a fourth meeting. The team should be stronger next year with Callie combining with Laila on the left side.

Playing for Virginia Elite was the first time I had a chance to see her play. Last year she did not play for Madison high school as she recuperated from an injury. At 5’11” they could have used her outside hitting in their drive for the Class 6 state championship. Callie played six rotations, showing the ability to play a strong defensive game while also providing solid passing in the back row. Callie can also provide an offense in all six rotations. Great anticipation when playing defense. Her approach jump at 9’5″ could be a little light but it did not slow her down as she climbed from 142 to 62 in our class of 2026 rankings.
